Judges 2:2-4

The Voice

² As your part of this bargain, you shall not make a covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You must tear down the altars of their gods.” But you did not do as I commanded. Do you realize what you have done? ³ Now I tell you, “I will not drive them out before you. The people of the land will irritate you, and their gods will ensnare you.”
